Licensing Korean music for your production?

Major7 E&M clears Korean music for series, film, games, advertising and live events. We identify the rights holders behind each track in Korea and abroad, including publishers, labels and the heirs of legacy songwriters, and negotiate the licenses your distribution requires.

  1. Rights researchWe confirm who controls each composition and recording, flag the risks, and define the license scope for your media and territories.
  2. NegotiationWe negotiate terms and fair fees for sync, master use, covers and arrangements, including approvals that involve the songwriter's moral rights.
  3. ContractsWe draft and review the license agreements and see them through to signature, covering broadcast, streaming and international release.
Industry Voice

AI-generated music is spreading. What is the industry saying?

The spread of AI music can't be stopped,
so the rules need to catch up, fast.

Kim Ji-wook, CEO of Major7 E&M Panel Talk 2 at the 2026 MWM Conference, "AI Working Group: Legal Issues in the AI Music Industry and Strategies for Platform Distribution and Revenue"

The panel noted that industry inquiries about using AI-generated music are rising fast. Kim pointed out that productions that start without sorting out the rights can end up paying for disputes later.

Rather than trying to stop the technology, the discussion concluded that the realistic approach is to document where the training data came from and who owns the output, at the planning stage.
